The southernmost of the Inner Hebrides Islands
A stunning island on the whisky coast of west Scotland.
Islay caters for a wide range of interests and activities with its wonderful scenery, wildlife and golden sandy beaches.
Visitors have access to cycle hire, Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout Fishing (available on Laggan Estate), a small leisure centre in Bowmore, and an 18-hole links golf course (Machrie). There are also a number of historical sites of interest on the island. Restaurants on the island offer a variety of cuisine, from local seafood to Indian… and with nine distilleries there is ample opportunity to sample some ‘uisge beatha’.
