Travel by Ferry to Islay
The ferry terminal is located at Kennacraig, which is approximately 2½ hours drive from Glasgow. The ferry service is operated by Caledonian MacBrayne with up to five sailings a day in the summer months. For timetables and bookings please visit https://calmac.co.uk/. The ferry journey takes approximately two hours to Port Askaig, or two hours fifteen minutes to Port Ellen. Food is available on the ferry and dogs are welcome.
Travel by Plane to Islay
Loganair operates the daily service between Glasgow and Islay. There are two flights every weekday, one flight on Saturdays, and one flight on Sundays. For bookings and schedules, please visit https://loganair.co.uk/. It is a busy route so best to book well in advance.
